Steering Oil Topup

What is a steering oil?

Power steering fluid is the hydraulic fluid used in the steering system to create a hydraulic link between the steering wheel and the front wheels. That decreases the amount of effort required to turn the wheels. Power steering fluid also lubricates the moving parts within the steering system.

When should steering oil be changed?

In general, it is good to remember to change the oil at least every two years, if not more often. This equates to about every 50,000 miles. Again, take a look at the owner's manual, as some manufacturers may suggest doing this more or less frequently.
